Purpose &
Vision . . .
• Centennial Auditorium serves as a vital community center, hosting over 4,000 students, families, and community members annually for various events, from school productions to regional competitions.
• Built over three decades ago through a partnership between the Staples Motley School District and community members, the auditorium was only 80% completed due to budget constraints.
• Despite its importance, the facility faces significant limitations in sound quality, stage functionality, and technical capabilities, preventing it from reaching its full potential.
• Completing the auditorium's original vision requires extensive upgrades, including acoustical treatments, stage improvements, and modernized sound and lighting systems, with a total cost exceeding $1 million.
• With input from the school, engineers, and architects, a phased approach has been developed to address these needs, prioritizing the most critical improvements to enhance the auditorium's value to the community.

It felt scary to perform on the big stage in front of a big audience. But once I got out there my nerves kicked down and I killed it. I am really excited for a BIGGER stage, especially for band because we are really squished on that section. E.K (Oliver production/SM band/lamp camp)
